This is a very thorough and easy to understand book that helps the writer to smoothly navigate the steps to successful self publishing. As I read the book, it was easy go back and find information in previous chapters if I couldn't remember something or wanted clarification on a topic. The author makes sure that she provides complete but not overwhelming amounts of information. The book is straightforward and encouraging.
Anyone who has tried to get a book or article published can relate how frustrating and discouraging it can be. If you've ever thought about self publishing, this book is a must-read.
I read Debra's book and participated in her workshop on publishing a kindle book. Since then I have published my own book, How to Help Yourself A Practical Guide for Self-Improvement. The "How To Self-Publish A Book a Step-By-Step Guide" was extremely helpful to me. The guide is very well organized, and leads the reader through the process of self-publishing on a . What I especially liked about this guide is that the author explains details that many guides do not offer. How many times have you started following a training guide only to get stuck on a problem that the creator somehow didn't add? One small detail or side step can make the difference between success or failure. I can recall many times in school and college when I was learning a program and following every step correctly, but couldn't finish or make it work because one important tip was left out. Fortunately, I kept asking questions until the right person came along that mentioned that step! Very risky and frustrating. This guide includes all steps for a clean and successful publishing process.
